...but instead of being a scary-smart adviser with forthright Conservative principles who helped us bring down Saddam Hussein, Samantha is a hateful sprite who is now playing nuanced games with our troops in order to advance her radical 'transnational progressive' agenda. But, the U.N. loves her!

Read this excellent essay written by Stanley Kurtz; it deserves your undivided attention. Kurtz follows Samantha from her radical roots forward to becoming a top foreign policy adviser to Senator Barack Obama, up to March 2008 (before she was one of the many thrown under BHO's bus; as you might recall, this Harvard professor called Hillary Clinton a 'monster'. Hillary responded with 'where's his BIRTH CERTIFICATE~!? and a long-lasting wheres-the-popcorn-moment was born).

Samantha Power is now part of BHO's National Security team, and remains one of the most eloquent wormtounges he has on his staff, with near-limitless access to his ear and to his teleprompter. Power is said to be the principle architect of BHO's curious Libyan policy. Her advice to Obama is based on what she learned in her leftist, radical past; she's never denied or tried to hide her leanings, and is now focused on advancing 'pragmatic radicalism': a stealth form of foreign policy in control of America's  military, for purposes that bring glee to United Nations officials. but leave some Americans wondering 'why are we really in Libya?'. You've got to read the entire essay. A brief snippet...
Power might best be characterized as a pragmatic radical. Her outlook is “post-American,” an excellent example of what John Fonte has called “transnational progressivism.” Power means to slowly dismantle American sovereignty in favor of a constraining and ultimately redistributive regime of international law. It’s an odd position for a member of the president’s National Security Council, but then Power is no ordinary NSC staffer.
'Post-American' in the sense that we will no longer have our Constitution, once considered the supreme law of our land; instead, we must incrementally adjust to International Law, and to the benevolent guidance of the United Nations. Samantha Power is a student and strident supporter of the late Sergio Vieira de Mello, a United Nations jawsmith, as Kurtz points out...
Power’s aforementioned second book, Chasing the Flame, celebrates the life of a United Nations diplomat, Sergio Vieira de Mello, who died in a terrorist attack in Iraq in 2003. Vieira de Mello was a Sixties radical of international scope. Hailing from Brazil, he became a committed Marxist while studying at the Sorbonne. He was among the violent protesters arrested during the student uprising in Paris in 1968. His first published work was a defense of his actions.

Vieira de Mello went from student radicalism straight to a job with the U.N. in 1969, and brought his intense anti-Americanism and anti-capitalism with him. Later he became a bitter critic of Israel. A United Nations “patriot,” he carried around a well-worn copy of the U.N. Charter the way an American senator or Supreme Court justice might take a copy of the U.S. Constitution wherever he went. Vieira de Mello’s colleagues used to say that his blood ran U.N. blue. As the U.N.’s most charismatic and effective diplomat (said to be “a cross between James Bond and Bobby Kennedy”), Vieira de Mello is the hero around whom Power attempts to build a following for her ideals of global governance.

Power explains that Vieira de Mello never really surrendered his Sixties ideals, even as he transformed himself from a passionate ideologue into a “ruthless pragmatist.” The young America-hating Vieira de Mello grew into a mature diplomat who could charm Pres. George W. Bush, even while lecturing the commander-in-chief on the follies of Guantanamo Bay. In other words, Vieira de Mello learned to manage his public persona, appealing to American leaders with arguments (allegedly) based on American national interest.

This is clearly Power’s ideal for herself.
Vieira de Mello is mellowed out in a grave; killed in 2003 in a terrorist attack in Iraq. A shame, really. But his United Nations FIRST! ideals live on in the person of Samantha Power, one of Barack Obama's closest advisers.

We just can't win with this Radical in Chief in charge, can we?

So, using four simple words, Barack Obama has solved a problem that's perplexed and eluded thousands of engineers for over a month. I'm beginning to think that maybe, just maybe, this guy is right for the job of leader of the Free World.

I mean, with insights and suggestions like that, who needs calm, measured, experienced leadership ?

Sure, Barack Hussein Obama's been on edge lately, flustered, snapping at his aides. What with this gulf disaster clearly roosting squarely on his noggin, with the Joe Sestak - White House bribery allegations starting to get mainstream airplay, with North Korea trying it's damndest to restart the Korean War, with Ahmadinnerjacket playing games with nuclear fuel rods, who can blame Obama for being a bit testy?

Oh, and Obama did go to the Republican Senator's lunch meeting today and caught quite an ear full from Bob Corker. Kansas Senator Pat Roberts gets out the word that Baracky should probably ask someone to prescribe some nice blue, white or yellow Valiums for his increasingly obvious thin-skinned whiny temper attacks.

I'm proud of Tennessee Senator Bob Corker, who finally found his mettle...
"I told him [Mr. Obama] I thought there was a degree of audacity in him even showing up today after what had happened with financial regulation," Corker told reporters after Republicans met with Obama.

"Let's face it: Republicans came to lunch, in my opinion, today as a prop for the president. He talked a great deal about bipartisanship, and yet the three major initiatives he's put forth have all been very partisan ... the lengths to which they went to absolutely ensure we did not have a bipartisan bill. And I asked him how he was able to reconcile that duplicity today coming in to see us."

When asked to clarify whether he used the word "duplicitous" when addressing the president, Corker confirmed that he had.
Maybe O!'s under so much pressure he's ready to snap? Of course, being a long-time CEO of a major American company has outfitted him very well for his current position. He's been through a lifetime of struggle and trial-by-fire; handling with ease all of this going on in the world today. It's like a walk in the park; he's handling problems with such ease and delicacy that his leadership seems second nature, as well it should be to someone with his lifetime of dedication and experience in the private sector and in insightful, skilled leadership ... ... right? right?

Leadership. sigh...
Pass that pill bottle, Obama. You're giving me a headache.

I worried for nothing, then. Our President does care.

No word on whether the White House Easter Eggs were bloody and cracked, though, as JB Webb portrayed on Sunday.

More on Mr. Webb later.

The dog and pony show didn't work. Boring-ass shiite.

Next, the reconciliation. Then, November elections.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), to George Stephanopoulos, anchoring “GMA” from the Newseum: "To go to the 51 votes, instead of this traditional 60 in the United States Senate, will have CATACLYSMIC EFFECTS."

You betcha~!

Baracky looks fit to be tied, doesn't he? Got a caption? Leave it in comments.

I so admire this man, Mike Sola. Must-watch video, at Breitbart TV.

Congressman John Dingell, an 83-yo 52-year, 27-term Michigan Congresscritter is a conceited old bugger, isn't he? Dingell is a poster child for term limits. Long ago this old battleaxe should've been put out to pasture. He's been socializing and buggering our Constitution since 1955.

Mike Sola, in that linked video, recommends that 'every American' read the New York Post op-ed by Betsy McCaughey, 'Deadly Doctors', one of whom, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel (yes, that's Rahm Emanuel's brother) is one 'Doctor' I wouldn't want washing my feet; but our President has installed him in his White House.

Emanuel bluntly admits that the cuts will not be pain-free. "Vague promises of savings from cutting waste, enhancing prevention and wellness, installing electronic medical records and improving quality are merely 'lipstick' cost control, more for show and public relations than for true change," he wrote last year (Health Affairs Feb. 27, 2008).

Savings, he writes, will require changing how doctors think about their patients: Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath too seriously, "as an imperative to do everything for the patient regardless of the cost or effects on others" (Journal of the American Medical Association, June 18, 2008).

Yes, that's what patients want their doctors to do. But Emanuel wants doctors to look beyond the needs of their patients and consider social justice, such as whether the money could be better spent on somebody else.

...

Emanuel, however, believes that "communitarianism" should guide decisions on who gets care. He says medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those "who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia" (Hastings Center Report, Nov.-Dec. '96).

Translation: Don't give much care to a grandmother with Parkinson's or a child with cerebral palsy.

He explicitly defends discrimination against older patients: "Unlike allocation by sex or race, allocation by age is not invidious discrimination; every person lives through different life stages rather than being a single age. Even if 25-year-olds receive priority over 65-year-olds, everyone who is 65 years now was previously 25 years" (Lancet, Jan. 31).

Mike Sola argued forcefully with the old dodger Dingell; something Republican Congressmen obviously don't have the cojones to do.

Say, Mike, how about challenging that old coot in 2010? You are the sort of Representative that's needed: someone who has purpose and convictions, and isn't afraid of wolves. You might not get a lot of votes in socialist Looterville (Detroit), but you'd be fun to watch, confronting that old leftist and giving him a piece of our minds.

Can you believe the utter hypocrisy of these bastiches? Obama first said, in 2003, he was for a single-payer healthcare plan. Now, because he's being called on that by his own peeps, he wants to know who is dissenting.

After running one of the most corrupt campaigns in American history (ACORN, so-called 'grassroots' community organizing), after refusing to release his school records and other requested information, after lying about his accomplishments and his associations with known terrorists, one who may have ghost-authored his 'autobiography', after giving ACORN and various other far-Left-leaning Community Organizing vote-manufacturing overseas-donation-accepting organs of CHANGE the nod and then funding their continuing efforts to further rig elections and re-elections, we hear the blatant hypocrisy of Obama and his minions "these Rethuglican - Conservative protests are orchestrated and manufactured!"

What, Democrat-majority azzholes, you think you're the only party who can be allowed to have protests? Your well-nurtured dogs, during the Bush years, threw rocks, burned and shat on flags, screamed and yelled profanities, and were in my estimation treasonous.

When Bush was in charge, did you leftists not say "dissent is the highest form of patriotism"? Why can't Conservatives exercise their rights too? Or is that reserved for you left-leaning scum-sucking un-American constitution-hating crowds who would like nothing less than a fascist government with no dissent allowed whilst we descend into a socialist hell?

Obama wants to know who is bashing his Healthcare takeover (nothing more than another super-entitlement, forever looting the successful plan. He's even set up a "tell me dot gov" e-mail so as to find out who is against him. Did Bushitler and Cheney and Rove ever set up a "tell us who the traitors are!" website or e-mail account, as Obama has?

Do you liberals realize what you've put in power?

You've installed your own worst fears: an authoritarian tyrant with Dreams of his Father. Who was, by the way, a full-blown Communist.

Obama's Shattered Dreams. To have lied, or to be clueless; either way, not very Presidential.

No, he probably knew he couldn't cut taxes, but he lied anyway, that's my take. How could he possibly have been so clueless, especially being a well-educated, hyper-articulated Harvard type who studied for years to become qualified for the U.S. Presidency, the most important job in the world? How could he have missed this?

Poll: Despite Obama’s stumping, support for budget drops five points

Well, it's about time. The Beltway is waking up to the realities of President Obama's budget plan, which taxes, spends, and borrows as far as the eye can see. The president's vast new commitments in the areas of health care, energy, and education have already spooked small-government Republicans and the foreign investors who help finance America's public debt. Now even some Democrats are beginning to realize that the president's fiscal policies are unsustainable in the long--and maybe medium--run. What took them so long?

The realities of the modern global economy require government to play a substantial role in ensuring the national and economic security of the people. Americans aren't going to dismantle the welfare state. Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are--like the Pentagon--here to stay. The task, then, is to ensure that those programs are sensibly structured and financed, and compatible with robust economic growth. And on this score, Obama's budget is a big, fat failure.
Hmmm..Obama's policies are failing. That's good for the nation's long-term survival. I wanted his policies to fail, given they were dangerously far-lefty and doomed our U.S. to socialism.

This last line is a puzzle..
If not, conservatives have a real opportunity to introduce a truly responsible vision of a welfare state that maximizes efficiency and growth. The budget outline that House Republicans released last week is a start, but it sure could use some work. And if the president persists in giving America a big and slothful government rather than a limited and energetic one, then it will be incumbent on Republicans and sensible Democrats in Congress to stop him.
What, pray tell, is a responsible version of a welfare state? A welfare state is a failed state. A responsible party platform would seek to employ every able-bodied person, and diminish the need for dole.

And 'persists'? Persists? Obama has a challenge, now; to fail in a new and exciting way: to not FAIL as did Jimmy Carter.

It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation.

Obama just can’t stand to be compared to Carter, so he’ll want to redefine FAIL in his own high-drama fashion.

No, a garden variety Hostage Crisis, some pre-teen double-digit inflation and vapid ‘energy conservation’ failures are just not going to be good enough for our ambitious Prezzydent. Look for a major international crisis where we, the U.S., will wind up soundly routed; up in the high-teens (or near-drinking age) hyperinflation numbers (and the corresponding Misery Index of Champions), and Cap and Trade (the Al Gore misanthropic dream!) energy legislation to pass; all of which will propel Obama up to the level of epic FAIL. We know he’s capable of that. He's trained for it, after all.

All in four years! The ‘Carter Challenge’!

ENOUGH!

Rick Santelli's Tea Party: ENOUGH!

Our founders have stopped rolling over in their graves. After months of tossing and turning, we have finally taken back the banner of hope that has been hijacked by the “do-good” saviors.

Statist sympathizers call us cynics; those who complain without answers of our own. They call us “selfish”, implying that funding failure is altruistic. While America was founded on those who do, they ask us to submit to those who can’t.

ENOUGH!

On July 4, 1776, the original Patriots put their lives on the line. With an envelope, a stamp, and a bag of tea, millions of Americans can send a peaceful message; our lives have value.

On April 1st, our establishment will know that our freedom to succeed can no longer be sacrificed at the risk of our future.

With sincerity and respect, we ask that you join us on April 1st, 2009, in sending the Oval Office a Tea Bag, in honor of the party in Boston on July 4, 1776, and in anticipation of its nationwide symbolic re-enactment in the summer of 2009.

If you have had enough, please submit your pledge to send Washington a Tea Bag on April 1st HERE TODAY.

Hmmph. Do-nothing elected Republicans leaders can learn a bit from Santelli.

This guy has true leadership qualities. And he's not a plumber, either; he's an unabashed capitalist. And a patriot.

The Obama-Alisnky dream team has already started to work it's Narrative, using Rules for Radicals #13: "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it", using the willing tools in the media, and an official from O!'s White House.

They hate it when they're opposed and questioned. The leftys thought Bush was bad? Heh. Bush didn't have near the community organizational skills of these far-left radicals who've taken over this country.

Enough. It's time to wake up.
