For some reason I visited Music City Bloggers this morning. Just a coincidink really, a link followed and all of that. In the interest of relationship-building and 'getting beyond' the political differences I have with some 99% of the posters over there, I want to link to one of Claudia's posts on...foodstuffs. Plus, there's some sort of contest, a 'fill this crystal bowl' sort of thing. Being charitable and cautious, I'll jump right in...
Of course, my first thought was to fill the bowl with Government Cheese. So I searched g00gle for images of "Democratic-sponsored Government Cheese", and quickly determined that those sorts of cheeses were served as blocs with no responsibility strings attached, and would most likely overwhelm this tiny bowl. Maybe just some nice tax deferrals cast as economic stimuli? TANSTAAFL, baby. But, largely inedible.
Further searching found this, from The Times and Democrat (who knew?), Recipie 69: French Green Beans with Pomegranates, Goat Cheese and Almonds. An added benefit, the French beans; Dems are always decrying our 'dismissal of and by the international community', because of Bushitler's illegal war for oil and "Blah blah right-wing Rumsfeld warmonger chickenhawk evil Bushies Wolwowitz and his neocon cabal for oiloiloiloiloiloil blah blah ignorant stupid bloodthirsty morons, the real axis of evil on a ranch in Crawford and blah blah blah no WMD he lied, Bushitler lied, people died died died tie-dyed peace peace peace down with the Zionists! peace peace Kyoto! they hate us they hate us they hate us and what can we do and root causes and root causes and blowback and..." sorry. I thought I heard William there for a moment...
So, let's throw this out as a contest entry. Who knows? Maybe some nice Goat Cheeses and Pomegranates can help us get our minds off of this rapidly sinking economic ship we're riding.
