This pic I stole directly from Cowboy Blob. Just to make this test.
On the last test, the photo had to be linked directly from my Picaso Web Album, using the hyperlink-embed routine, since I was unable to upload to Blogger by WLW. I won't do that again. The image will either be there or it won't.
From the comments on my earlier test post:
"Windows Live Writer shouldn't be opening IE unless it's your default browser. If Firefox is your default browser and WLW is still launching IE, please let me know. Also, uploading directly to Picasa from WLW is supported starting in version 2008 (12.0.1277.0816). If you're not able to upload images for your Blogger blog even with this version, again, please let me know. Thanks! Joe Cheng [MSFT] | Homepage | 10.06.07 - 5:09 pm | # "
I can't directly use Picaso as a intermediary for my blog photos. That's not the way it works. So, if there is no way to upload from my desktop (without first uploading the picture to either Picaso (as I did in my first test post, where I linked the URL of a picture that was already in the album from an earlier post) or to my primary photo bucket (Photobucket.com)), then that's a problem. See this screenshot for verification of the correct version (I just completed a download for my desktop; the earlier test post was from my laptop.)
Oh, and it seems that IE was launched from the VIEW toolbar, when selecting "Web Preview". But that didn't happen just now; only on my laptop (you guys are quick to fix, I'll give you that!)
OK, the only other thing missing is the 'blockquote' function in the Insert Box. I frequently use blockquote, and in this post had to go to HTML View to get 'er done. Nevermind; I just found it.
The last issue is the Blogger Labels. With Performancing/ScribeFire, I had to visit the Edit Post Window to get the labels in place. That's a hassle. So, in your "Insert Tags" clickable in the sidebar, please add Blogger Labels.
Here goes the test: Publish!
OK, it worked. I'm impressed.
Couple things:
1) Note my last line, in HTML:
Here goes the test: Publish!
Why the additionaltags? I'm not used to that.
2) I did add labels, from Blogger Edit. Nothing new there, but we can fix that, right?
3) I would shoot that damned spider. Without hesitation. Tile can be repaired...
;D
