We remember McCain-Feingold. Now we see McCain-Kennedy, a fiasco that's actually served to unite Americans of all walks of life; liberal and conservative (even some of those pesky libertarians who aren't out smoking wacky weed...)

McCain's probably realized, by now, he can't win the nod for nomination as Fred's VP, much less as Presidential Candidate for the GOP. So he lashes out at Romney (who would make a fine VP, BTW)

"Maybe his solution will be to get out his small varmint gun and drive those Guatemalans off his lawn."

and, on Romney's stance on immigration reform...

"Maybe I should wait a couple of weeks and see if it changes because it's changed in less than a year from his position before."

At least he's not singing "Bomb, bomb, bomb Mitt Rommmmney..."

Romney did fire back at McCain, doing a fine job at jabbery...

"It seems that certain candidates who brokered this flawed plan are having a very difficult time grappling with or coming to terms with the political fallout that has ensued in a substantive manner."

Thompson was targeted too, for his criticism of McBomb...Thompson's remarks...

"We should scrap this bill and the whole debate until we can convince the American people that we have secured the borders or at least have made great headway."

Personally, I hate to see our borders give way without a struggle. But it's going to happen, eventually, it's just a matter of 'when'. What should we do? We can't control the border with Mexico; there's too much of it. Build a wall, my arse. If we are to actually control a border, we need a border that's physically much smaller. There's no way our current border can be defended, along it's length with Mexico.

I propose that the US should go ahead and annex Mexico, all the way down to the Panama Canal. Now there's a defendable 35-mile stretch.

Then, we have to 'clean up' our new digs; physically and politically. We start by providing to Mexicans a Chinese-style birth limit of one child per couple, so they can stop overbreeding their economic limitations (that idea might be something to consider here, as well...)

What we would have is a borderless continent (well, there's Canada, but if they even flinch, we can go ahead and annex them, too...) that would be easily controllable, and economically equal from top to bottom.

Wait a minute...that's what acutally happening, isn't it? just not couched in those terms. And it's happening on their terms, not ours...
