I haven't really commented on Al Gore's 'Carbon Offset' crap...well, other than this somewhat Politically Incorrect, however bullseye dead-on (if a little disgusting) masterful, borrowed .GIF file (no, don't even go there...you have to eat sometime today...)
Really, I'd hoped Al would be laughed off the stage by now. But, we are seeing a neoteric cult deveolping, one that's paralleling and replacing a Religion (if, you know, some of these 'neo-followers' could believe in anything other than their own God-headed selves, they would recognize it as a religion)...these followers are guilt-obsessed, many of whom are probably slightly neurotic, so much so they are grasping the concept of these 'Offset Misadventures', and taking a trip that will help only Al's pocketbook while allowing their self-imposed guilt to translate into ca$h for Al. The real reason behind this whackiness? A squeezing of salve for Al's still-oozing 2000 Presidential Election Loss.
After that loss (thanks again, not to Florida's senior's hanging-chad moments, but to US, the great people of TENNESSEE, who knew better than to believe what we heard from this...sockpuppet...who took over the 'Senator Al' we first voted for and sent to Washington, and on his arrival became just another upside-down moonbat whaco...) Al disappered, grew into near-Marlon Brando proportions, and plotted his revenge. We're seeing the fruits (well, not fruits, maybe, but well-glazed donuts, from the look of him...) of Al's 'recovery' bouncing around in even the Halls of Congress.
He did promise to come back to Tennessee and 'mend fences'(that should have sweated some pounds off him, but I'm sure he just hired a few illegals to mend those fences... maybe the ones running alongside the Zinc mine that did more damage to the environment than even his Nashville Mansion's CO²-Consumption?) but if you call 'Carbon Offsets' fence-mending, then your mind is in need of some neuro-mending of it's own.
Maybe some nice psychoneurotic offsets?
