This story just won't go away...
why should it? We have the ultimate
American Hero, turned into a schoolgirl, with NASA wringing it's collective hands wondering what's wrong with it's psycho analysys/screening process.

I'm just bemused....

Ummm...it really doesn't get any stranger than this...

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida — An American astronaut drove 900 miles (1,500 kilometers) wearing a diaper to confront a woman she believed was her rival for the affections of a space shuttle pilot, police said.

Here in America we view our Astronauts as the bestest and the brightest. The hoops they have to jump through to succeed and even enter the program are astronomical (!), and most people (I for one)would give up bodily appendages to have the opportunity to ride into space. (The best I can hope for is to, like Hunter S. Thompson, be fired off in a giant firecracker...)

Police said Nowak, a robotics specialist, drove from her home in Houston to Orlando International Airport — wearing diapers so she would not have to stop to urinate — to confront Colleen Shipman. Nowak believed Shipman was romantically involved with Navy Cmdr. William Oefelein, a pilot during space shuttle Discovery's trip to the space station last December, police said.

In any event, Lisa M Nowack, age 43 (well past the age when any good girl would be chasing after a dude's girlfriend while wearing diapers so she wouldn't have to pull over to piss...this lady is some kind of handicapped, and unfortunately has spent too much time on the Dark Side of the Moon.

Yeah, I took this one yesterday morning, with my new toy (a Bushnell Northstar Telescope, with adapters for the digital camera). Problems? Hell, yes! That's worthy of a post all to itself...but it's not a bad piece of glass, excepting the issues with weight distribution and missing my apeture...but it will take land shots, as well.
