Yes, we have a Surge of Retreatists in the wake of the President's speech. You know, it probably doesn't matter that the President took a different approach, and will change the very nature of the operation in Iraq; nor does it matter that the President admitted that the tactics used weren't working. The only thing that matters to the Partisan Jihadists is that they use any weapon they can to 'get' the President. He could take any course, pull out tomorrow, and the underlying hatred the moonbats have for George Bush would drive them to attack him. There's no way for that snakepit of extremists to see George Bush in any other light, or to find any reason to go along with anything he does!

Not all the politicians have come out against President Bush. This, from John McCain, is suprisingly supportive.

"I believe that together these moves will give the Iraqis and Americans the best chance of success..."

and a question to Demobats:

"I believe these individuals ... have a responsibility to tell us what they believe are the consequences of withdrawal in Iraq," he said. "If we walk away from Iraq, we'll be back, possibly in the context of a wider war in the world's most volatile region.

McCain just gained a couple points in my '08 consideration. Just a couple, mind you, he's still a ways off...
