UPDATE 9/3/06

I've managed to snag the video...I think. I had to get a converter to go from .rm to .wmv (they left a nassty stain on the center of the video, al la blue dress) but got it to my photobucket account...again, start the thing, then pause it until the gray line moves all the way from the left to the right, and don't forget the popcorn...







Well, I've sat here watching UT whipping up on Cal on my HD ESPN connection, and found my laptop telling me that Al Qaeda's Number Two and an American Al Wannabe have posted on a couple of Terr'rist web sites an invitation to Americans to join the Islamic Faith.

The news first broke on Reuters, but the professional bloggers at Counterterrorism Blog again beat out the conventional media, in both coverage and detail.

In short, we are invited to Join the Islam faith, or suffer the consequences. In both this world and the next. Coming from Al Qaeda, this seems to really put the 'Religion of Peace' on a footing of violence...is there any other religion on the planet that demands either Join or Die? Remember the two Fox reporters, "joined" Islam (with the AK 47 pointed at their temples) to secure their release.

"Instead of killing yourself for Bush ... why not surrender to the truth (of Islam), escape from the unbelieving army and join the winning side. Time is running out so make the right choice before it's too late," "To the American people and the people of the West in general ... God sent his Prophet Muhammad with guidance and the religion of truth ... and sent him as a herald,"

Gahdan, the American-speaking part of the duo, sez to American Soldiers "You know that if you die as an unbeliever in battle against the Muslims you're going straight to Hell without passing 'Go'!" "You know you're considered by Bush and his bunch of warmongers as nothing more than expendable cannon fodder ... You know they couldn't care less about your safety and well-being."

"We send a special invitation (to convert to Islam) to all of you fighting Bush's crusader pipedream in Afghanistan, Iraq and wherever else 'W' has sent you to die. You know the war can't be won"

Did this guy get his talking points from Howard Dean??? He sounds like a lot of posters I've read too...

You have to download the video youself; I could not get it to save to my Photobucket account...it's real media, and won't save to photobucket, and it's not on Youtube...yet.

I'll keep trying, maybe by tomorrow someone will crack it to Youtube and I'll have it then...

You know, this might 'wake up' some of the peeps who share these sentiments, as to which side they want to be on in this struggle. Can you say 'backfire'?
