The UN has suffered infiltration--well, that's nothing new, I suppose, but this time we see a 9-11 Truther, Richard Falk, calling for an official investigation. Who is Richard Falk, you ask? Well, I didn't know, but Dan Collins does, and posted this earlier this week.

From the New York Sun...

"On March 26, Richard Falk, Milbank professor of international law emeritus at Princeton University, was named by unanimous vote to a newly created position to report on human rights in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs."

Falk is anti-semetic to begin with; now he is pushing for a study to see if the 9/11 truther movement has merit...Falk...

“It is possibly true that especially the neoconservatives thought there was a situation in the country and in the world where something had to happen to wake up the American people. Whether they are innocent about the contention that they made that something happen or not, I don’t think we can answer definitively at this point. All we can say is there is a lot of grounds for suspicion, there should be an official investigation of the sort the 9/11 commission did not engage in and that the failure to do these things is cheating the American people and in some sense the people of the world of a greater confidence in what really happened than they presently possess.” [emboldenings mine]

The narrative that the attacks from 2001 were a “false flag” operation is a recurring theme in the literature challenging the consensus that 19 Al Qaeda hijackers flew commercial jets into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. False flag refers to espionage or covert actions taken by one government made to seem like the work of another. The false flag thesis has it that the Bush administration is somehow responsible for the September 11 attacks as a pretext for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Yes, absolutely loony toons. And, 35% of Democrats believe George Bush knew of the 9/11 attacks in advance.

That's some strong BDS.

Let's hope Richard Falk gets his wish. To make complete fools out of the UN, Falk, Truthers in general and 35% of the Democrats in one fell swoop would be worth the aggravation.

A Lifetime Ban for criticism of the Gay Lifestyle. The ban put on an evangelistic Christian, of course...

That's just fine, Katherine. Now, you've put yourself in a position to dictate what and how we discourse, you have complete control over every aspect of thought and process that happens within your posts at MCB. You are, therefore, in a position to dictate thought. That's a pretty big role you've taken on; pretty much puts you in a position to impose your views of what is right and appropriate in comments. What you deem inappropriate for whatever reason, you slash and burn. In poor form, Katherine.
