Electing yet another Democrat is really going to fix things.
As the next mayor of this city, the nation’s third largest, Mr. Emanuel faces significant obstacles. He must cope with staggering unfunded pension liabilities, as well as a budget deficit around $600 million, by some estimates. Easy fixes — like the proceeds of privatization deals of the city’s parking meters — have already been used. Meanwhile, the city’s population of 2.69 million is smaller than it was a decade ago, unhappy news for a new mayor who would wish to see a growing tax base.
Imagine that. What was once touted as a grand example of Democrat's 'progressive' progressions is now on the verge of massive default. See what happens, Democrats, when your proposals are allowed to reach fruition? They rot on the vine.

What was needed was a Scott Walker, to right this ship. Truthfully, I don't think any human alive, regardless of political persuasion, could make Chicago a better place to live. It's too far gone.

It's Just a Matter of Time, Rahm.

TANSTAAFL, bitches.

Best post I've read in days, my friends...
For the last twenty years of my life, easily, since I knew I was gay I was disconnected from the Church, from God, from Jesus, because the influence of the Democrat Party told me I needed to be, and the cultural enforcers of the Left insisted that’s how I should be, or suffer the Alinsky consequences.

Though I’d never say it aloud because it would have been impolite, I would in the past have called the people in their robes singing their gospel “the holy-molies” or some other cute name, because that’s what we do in the gay community with anything religious or conservative: mock it, make fun of it, laugh at it, and distance yourself from it. Even if that’s an internal monologue.

But, Glenn Beck’s words were too powerful.

Governor Palin’s speech was too heartfelt and meaningful.

The crowd of strangers around me in the blazing sun on the National Mall saw me tearing up and they hugged me deep and cried along with me until I broke down completely and started singing with them, remembering songs I hadn’t sung since I was a little kid, before I got too cool for any of it, before I realized I was gay and mistakenly thought I had to follow the path the Left dictated for me — lest I suffer their wrath.
Truth to Power, burning at 1000 watts.

I guess I've another blog to add to my g00gle reader, which regularly gets flushed out because I haven't had time to read many full posts, just post-titles and if someone can't write a good post-title then it's flushed quickly. I've dropped Hot Air and Ace and a couple-three others who just don't much appeal to me anymore; added some good ones you've likely never heard of. I'll have to choose another to drop from the roll.

Maybe I'll send 'em a dead fish.

Damn. Before we even get the subpoenas ready.

Telegraph.co.uk...
Washington insiders say he will quit within six to eight months in frustration at their unwillingness to "bang heads together" to get policy pushed through.

Mr Emanuel, 50, enjoys a good working relationship with Mr Obama but they are understood to have reached an understanding that differences over style mean he will serve only half the full four-year term.

"I would bet he will go after the midterms," said a leading Democratic consultant in Washington. "Nobody thinks it's working but they can't get rid of him – that would look awful. He needs the right sort of job to go to but the consensus is he'll go."

An official from the Bill Clinton era said that "no one will be surprised" if Mr Emanuel left after the midterm elections in November, when the Democratic party will battle to save its majorities in the house of representatives and the senate.

It is well known in Washington that arguments have developed between pragmatic Mr Emanuel, a veteran in Congress where he was known for driving through compromises, and the idealistic inner circle who followed Mr Obama to the White House.
Damn, but it's gonna be fun to watch this Presidency swirl the bowl.
