The good Senator's Pay-Go point was simple.  The needed monies are already out there in the form of  previously appropriated funds - although they aren't piled up in safes as, you know, real money - funding that Dems are holding back for their 2012 vote-buying schemes. This 'emergency allocation' for new funds was simply another means of forcing this nation even further into debt, since there's no 'real' money available to pay for this additional spending. We'll have to do we do what we've become accustomed to doing: more borrowing from the bemused Chinese and/or stealing from the grand kids.

I'm glad this three-day mini-issue asploded. It allows us to point out exactly who the people are who are driving this nation to bankruptcy with their as-kids-in-a-candy-store spending sprees. And we know, and have always known, who are enemies are; the gluttonous, ravenous, never-satisfied Democrats.

I'm looking at you, kids.

“We cannot keep adding to the debt,” Mr. Bunning said Monday. “It’s over $14 trillion and going up fast.”

It's put up or shut up time for Democrats. As usual, they want to pass spending measures without paying for them; and right in the face of a new law, Pay-Go, just signed February 12 by Barack Obama.

2,000 Furloughs Linked to Impasse in Congress

WASHINGTON — The United States Department of Transportation said it furloughed 2,000 workers on Monday as a politically charged impasse over unemployment benefits interrupted spending on a handful of federal programs and escalated tensions in Congress.

“When we talk about the cost of inaction, it is more than just rhetoric,” Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the majority leader, said as the Senate convened Monday. “It comes with dire consequences. The Americans who woke up this morning without the benefits they need know that better than anyone else.”

In an effort to end the stalemate, Senator Jim Bunning, the Kentucky Republican who is insisting on a point of parliamentary procedure to block the legislation, offered to lift his objection if an agreement was made to use unspent economic stimulus money to cover the $10 billion cost of the unemployment aid, which would go to those who have already exhausted their benefits.

“We cannot keep adding to the debt,” Mr. Bunning said Monday. “It’s over $14 trillion and going up fast.”

Who cares about the debt, when we can just print more money and borrow from the Chinese?

Senator Jim Bunning has faced bomb threats from psycho Democrats, including some threats from Twitterers. This one from Dave Rhea, 'Social' Media 'Editor' at The Journal Record in Oklahoma City, who wants to 'kick him in the face'.

Happy-go-lucky Democrats and their social programs are ruining this country. We needed a Senator with enough fast balls to strike these spineless politicians out.

It's about damn time.
