See, loaded. You're warping what I'm saying so you can brush me off and continue to scapegoat gizmodo for something completely separate.
Think about this.
Did I ever say gizmodo probably wasn't going to get banned?
Did I actually say the opposite?
Did I bring up Wired anywhere in this thread or link them to various pranks?
Was I actually trying to make you look at the statement that implied blind faith in print media as being a bastion of truth and being isolated from such pranking?
Wait...how am I scapegoating Gizmodo? I was questioning your statement:
dwayne johnson tattoos.Does anyone know what became of the constitutional challenge to the french iTunes law? I had read somewhere that the opposition party was trying to get the law overturned, haven't seen anything more about it since.

They still need to revert the faux leather on iCal. That's hideous.
Couldn't agree more!

Fair question - mostly for the flexibility of watching multiple channels and/or playing PS3 while watching multiple channels.
Plus - given the size of the room it would be difficult to achieve an ideal viewing distance for anything bigger than 50".
Wow, I'm the complete opposite of this haha. 5 years ago I donated my TV and never looked back :)

Though the Consumer Council (CC) will never admit to that it still will matter. In the beginning everyone here in Norway thought that if the CC would push too hard that Apple and its subsidiary iTMS Luxembourg would pull out, but after heavy consumer discussion it all kind of mellowed out in the summer months.
I heavily doubt that the DRM demand from CC would be admitted to by Apple/iTMS. As for the legal and contractual language I am quite sure that Apple/iTMS will change this and thus comply with the most important demand from CC.
Still, the French outcome will be enormously important for all of Europe, not just France and Norway.
Dwayne “The Rock” JohnsonWhatever you are attempting to sell is failing the 'smell' test (if you follow me). You do not know the man I am fairly certain. I am always suspicious about how well screwed on people are, who see others as mindless droids and cannot keep their bowel movements under control.
Well, if you haven't met any of these mindless droids, consider yourself lucky. I've met enough of them to be sufficiently spooked. I've got a couple of them on a forum I moderate; one has a link to Apple store in his signature and spends most of his time posting the most contrived lies about Windows you could imagine (how you cannot switch a PC on without being drowned in a barrage of viruses etc), and the rest of his time coercing PC users into switching. It's quite clear from his descriptions of Windows he hasn't touched a PC since circa 1996, and any assurances that Windows has come a long way in terms of stability and security since Win95 are met with a kind of "lalalalalalalala...." At one point he insisted that a Mac Mini G4 1.42GHz is much faster than any PC ever made. When faced with real life benchmark tests where a midrange PC blasted the Mini into oblivion, he maintained that it was due to poor knowledge of Mac optimization on the part of the developers (whom I know to be Mac enthusiasts who port the software to Windows). This is just one example, over the years I've stumbled across way too many to list here.
It's great that people are enthusiastic about products, and most Mac users are regular joes who are just that, but it is my personal opinion that there also exists a 'Church of Apple' with 'members' who are smug, patronizing, holier-than-thou, basking in the glory of some perceived exclusivity and enlightenment, borderline brainwashed lodge brothers with a special handshake. It sickens me to no end. Again, this is merely one man's opinion, I know you wouldn't agree so let's just leave it there.
Regarding Steve, you're darn tootin' I don't know him. Only seen him in blurry keynote webcasts.
more...dwayne johnson tattoo,Yes I'm well aware of China Mobile's vast GSM Edge network. But this is a 3g phone. So that 558 Million actually doesn't count given that it would be like giving the phone to T-Mobile knowing that they can't support 3g. And Apple doesn't pull moves like that since it would open them up for lawsuits (if someone unlocks on their own, that's on them).
The real numbers to look at are 152 Million valid GSM 3g subscribers against 178 Million CDMA customers. And no contract prohibiting having a phone for both. So again, if this is about making money, why didn't they make a CDMA phone for that second group. Assuming they are open to having a CDMA iphone at all.
I don't think China has much interest in the iPhone.
Dwayne Johnson TattoosEventually it just has to be called "iPhone". No numbers, and certainly no asinine feature indicators. Internally it will be "iPhone (nth generation)", and the previous model on sale for $99 (or $49) will be "iPhone (previous generation)", just like iPods. Same goes for the iPad. Seriously, 10 years from now what are they going to call it... the iPhone 14s? This makes sense how?
more...dwayne johnson tattoos. dwayneThis is hilarious everyone is so upset that the MBA wasn't the product that they thought it should be. Everyone that's upset about it needs to understand that they weren't it's intended demographic. The MBA is going after the hardcore road warriors that want a notebook that doesn't take up much space, or add weight to their brief cases. In this market the MBA has a much lower price tag than any of the other ultra thin notebooks.

Oh my god...
did Apple seriously just make pointing fingers apart of their campaign?
I thought they were above that!
I understand that it's unfair that the other companies do that and all, but Apple really doesn't need to stoop to their level, do they?
They're not stooping. They are defending their product by demonstrating that the issue is not unique to their phone. I think most people instinctively knew this before the iPhone - telling someone that holding a phone a certain way might reduce the signal would have resulted in a shoulder shrug. Of course it will, it's a radio.
The N1 can't maintain a 3G signal when touched, period. Yet it didn't cause this kind of outcry because it wasn't from Apple.

Happy BD keynote?!
They didn't even put up a small square on their Mac sub-page.
I do hope OS X still has a good 10 years in front of it. The best of both worlds for Unix people.

"Bugs". That's so funny. Like it wasn't something indented by Big Brother, make that Apple. We truly do have a new evil empire now.
I presume you have hard proof of this unfounded claim I hope.

I spend at least 98% of my time in AT&T 3G coverage areas. While Verizon's coverage map may look impressive with their sea of red, they seem to be forgetting that dirt can't use 3G.
Yea I haven't been to half (ok 100%) the places were verizon 1-ups Att... Plus verizon turned off all the cell sites in my area so I was forced to leave Big Red!
