A.B. Stoddard, The Hill...
Even before Christine O’Donnell handily defeated Rep. Mike Castle (R-Del.) in an epic upset Tuesday night, the Tea Parties, all of them, had already won. No matter what happens in the midterm elections on Nov. 2, the Tea Party has moved the Democrats to the right and the Republicans even more so, and President Obama’s agenda is dead. [emboldenings mine -ed.]
Finally, we see cogent commentary and (hopefully) correct analysis of the Tea Party phenom. The 'Starfish' Party, that loose conglomeration of disaffected Conservatives who are lashing out at Democrats and slow-response Republicans alike, is now a force to be reckoned with. No matter how many these far-left Democrats chuck their favorite spear "RAAAAACIST!!!11!1!" at us, no matter how many times spine-challenged blue-blood Republicans remonstrate against 'unelectable' Tea Party candidates, no matter who the New York Times lauds or poo-poohs on 'our' side of the aisle, we are here and we are affecting CHANGE.

Christine O'Donnell:
"The conservative movement was told to curl up in a fetal position and just stay there for the next eight years, thank you very much. Well, how things have changed," O'Donnell said, to cheers.

O'Donnell, who defeated Castle by a 6-point margin despite sustained attacks on her misstatements and financial troubles – past and present — repeatedly chided "the ruling class" and championed "a rowdy revolution of reason."
I just hope we're not too late.
