This is a 28-minute video.
The soldier is Bowe Bergdahl, 23, from Hailey, Idaho; a PFC with the 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team stationed in Fort Richardson, Alaska. The team is a unit of the 25th Infantry Division that's based in Hawaii.
They've shaved his head, forced him to grow a Muslim sort of beard; seems they are hoping to convert him to their ideology.
Bastards. They've threatened to kill him if America doesn't leave certain provinces in Afghanistan.
They will probably kill him.
We should redouble our efforts to kill as many Taliban as possible. They are our enemies; they have sworn to kill us; they have enlisted many unwitted American citizens (you know who you are) in their defense, working towards their aims. This video is a psychological attack on America, hoping to recruit (even more! of) the American political Left to their ends.
It worked so well against Bush in Iraq, didn't it?
But the Left now has their President, who is Commander in Chief.
Let's see how he handles this. Hopefully, he will respond forcefully, and refuse to negotiate with our enemies. If he does that, then I will have his back. Because when we face a common enemy, Americans should fight together.
We'll see how Obama handles this.
