This is really...out there. From the creator..
Animation was made with Ultra fractal, C++, and final cut pro and the sound design was made with reaktor, reason, supercollider and logic pro. I just used a normal julia fractal and played around with the inverse transformations whilst tweaking the code a bit to get a different set of properties. An inversion of a fractal turns it inside out where the points that are furthest away immediately morphs to the foreground and the original center is simultaneously forced into the distance. This was achieved by specifying rates of change over the radius and center of the inversion circle. In relation with sound, I tried to link the speed at which these changes occur with the rate of synthesis effects like LFO and delay. Thats about it really. Thanks for the comment!Got mushroom tea?
