The Thanksgiving Day NFL slate featured three lopsided defeats, the worst being the hapless Detroit Lions' 47-10 loss to the Titans. Florio tells us that this was the worst defeat ever suffered by Detroit on Thanksgiving day, and that the Lions 'need an enema'. Thanks, Florio, for that imagery; I'm glad my Thanksgiving dinner was digested before reading that bit.
A shameful game for Detroit and for the NFL, but great for the Titan's stats. Five touchdowns, four by the ground crew: RB Chris Johnson, who won the game ball, rushed for 125 yards on 16 carries, and two touchdowns; RB Lendale White rushed for 106 yards on 23 carries, with two touchdowns. The fifth TD came compliments the Titans D, by DE Dave Ball, who picked Daunte Culpepper in the first quarter and ran it hallupeno.
Vince Young actually made an appearance, coming in for the final two series with only 8:56 remaining in the fourth quarter, for the first time since he was injured in the season opener. Personally, I would've put him in there to start the 3rd quarter.
VY didn't have much to do; he did drive to set up one of Rob Bironas' field goals. And he did a fine job kneeling for the last couple plays. No interceptions or pouting noted.
