"Saul Alinksy Takes the White House" (or, how the U.S. two-party system becomes 'subversive' and must be squashed)
Posted by kotang at 10:25 PMQuin then goes on to list the likely methods we'll see Obama use, the steps his newly-minted and empowered 'community organizers' will attempt to consolidate Obama's power.Saul Alinsky Takes the White House
Too many conservatives think we've seen all this before -- in 1964 and 1974 and 1992 -- and that we know how to handle it. Fly, meet ointment: We're not dealing with the same sorts of opponents. These New Alinskyites who are taking over the White House, combined with the most leftist congressional leadership in memory, will not let us play by the same rules under which conservatives recovered from those earlier debacles. They will try to drastically tilt the playing field, seed our side of the field with land mines and, in short, rig the process to make it next to impossible for the political right, or Republicans, to recover. And they are likely to succeed in at least some of these designs.
In the Senate, the target is the filibuster. First order of business will be to secure a filibuster-proof majority by securing the 60 necessary Senators (there's a couple contested seats that might just 'accidentally' fall place for Baracky and crew) or, barring that, the elimination of the filibuster rule in it's entirety. That's probably easily done; just by moving certain pawns in the Senate and with the right people in place in the judiciary set to 'ignore' mode, and the oh-so impartial media (those 'journalists' who were nothing more than cheerleaders for Obama and living landmines for his opponents) shilling for whatever their Dem masters desire (the Republic is at stake, ya see, so we must allow whatever Barack Obama proposes to get to his desk, and those Rethuglicans can't be allowed to filibuster our Hopes and Dreams away, now can they? Besides, it's For The Children..)
The next steps Quin illustrates might be the further liberalization of the voting laws. As if there weren't enough ACORN-induced fraud already; now, with the ear of the Presidency, ACORN can give pointers as to how to do that sort of thing. The ACORN community is well-organized, as we've already seen.
What other sorts of Alinsky-style tactics are coming our way? Quin continues...
Other ways the Obama axis will tilt the playing field: "card check" legislation to eliminate secret ballots in unionizing and to force union victories in contract negotiations. Provision after provision giving favors to the trial bar so it can sue enemies into submission. Copious new regulations, especially environmental, to be used selectively to ensnare other conservative malcontents. Invasive IRS audits of conservative think tanks, other conservative 501 organizations, and PACs.Oh,yeah, we've heard stirrings about that for months, years now. Barack Obama just can't allow any dissent or troublesome questions raised about his CHANGEs, now can he? He'll just have to silence those mouths who dare to oppose His will. What Ohio officials did in rifling through so many of Joe Wurzelbacher's files will serve as ample precedent. (Just watch, by the way: Nobody ever will be effectively disciplined for the violation of Wurzelbacher's rights.)
And, only when the time is right and the ground (or air) has been well prepared, will come the grand-daddy of all fights, the re-enactment of the misnamed "Fairness Doctrine."
Nevermind that Barack's internet buddies at KOS and DU and hundreds of other nassty lefty sorts just like those (and worse!) are spewing anti-conservative, anti-Republican, anti-Bush bilious vile that's far worse than anything ever heard on talk radio. But, that's different you see, those sorts are in the bag for Barack. No need to change any of that.
We will never forget the hateful treatment of George Bush. From an editorial in yesterday's WSJ...
Now, do you think for a minute that our newly-elected Alinskyite President will put up for a second with anything approaching the level of hatred that was directed at President Bush? Do you think that Baracky could show any of the courage and ability that George Bush has shown, to simply ignore and continue on about the nation's business, with resolve and honor, in the face of such a cacophony of dissent? The Treatment of Bush Has Been a Disgrace
The treatment President Bush has received from this country is nothing less than a disgrace. The attacks launched against him have been cruel and slanderous, proving to the world what little character and resolve we have. The president is not to blame for all these problems. He never lost faith in America or her people, and has tried his hardest to continue leading our nation during a very difficult time.
Our failure to stand by the one person who continued to stand by us has not gone unnoticed by our enemies. It has shown to the world how disloyal we can be when our president needed loyalty -- a shameful display of arrogance and weakness that will haunt this nation long after Mr. Bush has left the White House.
Hell, no! I'll tell you this right now: Barack Obama has a glass jaw. He can't stand criticism, and he'll act to remove the source of any irritant. He's had these community organizers to watch out for him. And he wants a federal 'civilian security force', armed and ready to do his bidding..
Obama had first outlined many of the proposals he talked about Wednesday during appearances in Iowa last December. We who value freedom and have a strong sense that conservatism must not be quashed will have to redouble our efforts to keep Obama on the straight and narrow. We have to resolve to confront BHO's incremental efforts to silence his critics in his effort to steamroll his 'CHANGE' (in whatever socialist face that 'CHANGE' finally presents itself, it will not be acceptable if CHANGE attacks capitalism and overly broadens government, raises taxes and harms our economy) and fight tooth and nail against this federal 'brownshirt' security force."We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set," he said Wednesday. "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded."
Yes, we've work to do.
Time to 'gird our loins', as it were.
