Tennessee Titans demolish the Colts 31-21; take a 4-game lead in the AFC South: 7-0, baby~!
Posted by kotang at 6:39 AMAlso, the coldest game so far, at 44° at kickoff; some fans were shivering, including the teen girl-child sitting next to me; so much so that she shivered and quaked so much for most of the game, vibrating the seats, causing a lot of my pics to come out blurred..between her and a 6'10" 'Andre the Giant'-looking Colts fan sitting right in front of me, I missed a ton of shots. But never mind...there's a few here. If you want pro shots, go to NFL dot com.
And the rowdiest game, given the Colts fans travel well. I was in the midst of some obnoxious Cdolt mouth-runners. "Oh, the Titans are finally playing a team that's not 0-7!" and "BITCHES! YOU SUCK!" and like-minded sort. I'll say this...the two Colts fans who stayed to the end were gracious; most of the mouthy azzholes left early, slinking off to lick their wounded pride and lament their lost season.
The gutsy move that revitalized the crowd was the two-point conversion after a 7:45 14-play possession that pounded the Colts' defense and ended when Lendale White stormed into the end zone. Kerry Collins tossed a short pass to Andre Hall, tying the score at 14-all and shutting those mocking Colts fans the hell up... "looky there, aren't the Colts are starting to look like Jacksonville Jags ?..oh, and didn't Jacksonville whip the Colts? looks like your season is over, boys, now STFU and go home crying!" "Oh, and next time bring a REAL MANNING to the game: ELI!!!!!11!11!"
We've a three-way tie for second place in the AFC South. The Titans lead the division by four games. The Colts are DONE, stick a fork in 'em.
Here's the pics.

A pre-game band show at the gates. The Saint Thomas or something like that.

moving right along...Peyton Manning jaws with some fans before deciding to go backstage and put on some gear.

ESPN crew, and all of that.

A Vince Young sighting, pre-game warmups. With Justin Gage, who is doing something with his jersey.

Nashville was dressed up for ESPN and the nation. Nice small-market sure has a purdy skyline!

Ahhh, the ever-lovely Titans Cheerleaders. Clicky for biggie.

The color guard, presenting the colors. The third flag is not Vandy's, but the Tennessee Highway Patrol's own flag. HUH?

The Bald Eagle alighted just as Hank Williams Jr. finished croaking out the National Anthem.

Yeah, croaking. Hank didn't sound so good I don't think.

Steve McNair shakes hands with Miss Manning prior to the coin toss. Steve wins another one for Tennessee (the coin toss...) Nice to see Steve back on the field in Nashville, if only for the coin toss. Still the best QB the Titans-Oilers have ever had.

This is one of the potty-mouthed Colts fans I mentioned above. One gal hanging with about 5 guys, causing nothing but trouble..remember that old movie The Warriors? and that gal, Mercy, who hung out with the Orphans until the Warriors picked her up? Well, just sayin... )

During Halftime, Bud Adams came out and inducted Frank Wychek, Eddie George and Steve McNair into the Titans' Hall of Fame. The three got these permanent banners on the stadium wall. (Bud's not looking so good these days..)

Frank Wychek and family..

Eddie George and family..

Steve McNair
