Sarah Paulin, a fresh, populist voice we've long yearned to hear...one without the embellishment of Leftist giveaways or handouts, of course.
Posted by kotang at 5:29 AM"It’s no wonder that, until tonight, almost no one knew that there was a populist statesperson of Jeffersonian stature in the person of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin."How many of us who watched Sarah felt those same emotions?
Sarah delivered a strong, personal speech; Sarah showed the nation her loving, self-supporting family that, no matter what charges and lies the Leftists (with their allies in the MSM) level, they will stand together to confront them. For conservatives, now, at least for this one, that speech is a welcome and marked change from the elitist blue-blood sorts who mean well but just can't seem to connect with average Americans.
For Obamanoids, that speech came across like blast of cold Alaskan air. They are already asking for more money to fuel their attack machines.
The Obama camp is worried. Excerpts from an e-mail to me from the Barry O! side, delivered just after last night's speech (yes, I monitor those insufferable asshats, for perspective)...
David PlouffeOh, that's the real Barry. A 'community organizer' (does that sound a bit...communistic...to you?) out amongst the proles, giving handouts to secure votes. There's the socialist Democrats we know and love.
Campaign Manager
Obama for America
Serr --
I wasn't planning on sending you something tonight. But if you saw what I saw from the Republican convention, you know that it demands a response.
I saw John McCain's attack squad of negative, cynical politicians. They lied about Barack Obama and Joe Biden, and they attacked you for being a part of this campaign.
But worst of all -- and this deserves to be noted -- they insulted the very idea that ordinary people have a role to play in our political process.
You know that despite what John McCain and his attack squad say, everyday people have the power to build something extraordinary when we come together. Make a donation of $5 or more right now to remind them.
...
Both Rudy Giuliani and Sarah Palin specifically mocked Barack's experience as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago more than two decades ago, where he worked with people who had lost jobs and been left behind when the local steel plants closed.
I'll bet Sarah would've shown them how to fish. Or plant a garden. Or, better, how to find a new way to support themselves, not simply go out and recruit for votes on the promise of a lifetime of handouts.
More from Barry's 'noids...
And it's no surprise that, after eight years of George Bush, millions of people have found that by coming together in their local communities they can change the course of history.More of the same BDS. Now we know where these mindless asshats get their rubber-stamp talking points...directly from the top. Keeps lower-level leftists from having any need for original cognition, I suppose.
George Bush has guided this nation through some tough times. If Gore or Kerry had been in power, we would be in a world of hurt right now. We've won a war (that the Leftists, including Barry-O!, would have long ago have turned tail on and surrendered); we've kept the economy in positive growth territory (without a recession, you lying leftists) and still the left rails against George Bush. BDS, because they want sO!cialism.
News to you, leftists: America was not designed to be a socialist nation. Nor were we designed to seek the approval of other countries. We are here because strong individuals, like Sarah Palin, came together to forge a political direction different from the rest. To allow people to succeed, when they wanted to, and when they worked for it. Opportunity, you see. Not a continuous feed of cradle-to-grave sustenance.
"Obama for America". I laugh at you, David Plouffe, and your candidate, because I saw a real, better American last night on CSpan. America as was originally designed, for and by the people. Not as a collective of socialists organizing for votes with 'gimme' sorts of handouts, but as a forward-looking nation with families who want nothing more than a chance to succeed. And to work hard to achieve that success.
Sarah Palin, last night, delivered much more HOPE! than anything I've ever heard in the collectivist spew from O!
