These shots were taken today, on the West Fork of the Stones River, with happyfeet in mind. hf, a turtle aficionado and frequent commenter on PW, will probably know what this turtle ate for breakfast. I'm thinking a tadpole or some sort of minnow, maybe, if it got lucky.

This little guy (gal) was remarkably resistant to my presence. Usually turtles won't allow a boater to get within 40 feet before they sidle into the water.
