Have we worried a bit much about our internal squabbles, and Iran's potential missile threats, and forgotten our old nemesis Russia?
How about this for saber-rattling...
Methinks they want some more worldwide attention. And to reclaim their 'I'm a bad boy too' image, lost after the U.S.S.R went broke and disbanded after Ronald Reagan's brilliant strategy to break them financially.
Recent rattlings...
"Russia resumed strategic bomber patrol flights over the Pacific, Atlantic, and Arctic oceans last August, following an order signed by former president Vladimir Putin. Russian bombers have since carried out over 80 strategic patrol flights and have often been escorted by NATO planes."
"Russia's arms exports are expected to exceed $6 bln this year, the chief executive of the state-run arms exporter Rosoboronexport said Wednesday. In an interview with the Rossiiskaya Gazeta daily, Anatoly Isaikin said Russia's arms exports grew from less than $3 billion in 2000 to $6.1 billion in 2007."
So, Democrats, if you are so concerned with 'world peace', what's your appeasement plan for this?
