Pope Benedict XVI has just baptized Magdi Allam, a non-practicing Muslim who condemned Islamic extremism and defended Israel. This took a great deal of courage on Allam's part, as he is now in danger of being murdered in the name of Allah. He figured that he had nothing to lose, after receiving death threats from Hamas.
