We have the dismal U.S. Intelligence Community publishing a report that says, sometime in 2003, Iran had ceased to try to produce a nuclear weapon. They still have a viable nuclear program, including enriching uranium, but the actual steps to make a 'bomb' out of these fissile materials has...stopped. So they say. WMD's, anyone?
Stopped? Well, if true, there's a good reason for it. Who's been the President for the last 8 years? If they've stopped, they've stopped because they are rightfully fearful of Who's in the White House.
Iran's Mullayatollah religious leaders aren't stupid. They installed Ahmadinejad as a lighting rod to attract the focus of the West, and he's done a masterful job not to try to hide their nuclear program (they saw what happened to Iraq, whose programs were just hidden enough to attract bombs) but to, by using semi-disclosure, buy time to advance the program enough to make assembling a bomb an easier process.
So, blame the 5-year 'stoppage' of Iran's bomb on George Bush. And, look for the bomb-making to resume, when Democrats take the reins in Washington.
Because, you see, even Iran knows that when our Country's Leadership is tough on terror, has a 'cowboy' in office who won't put up with crap from a terroristic country like Iran, then it's best to slow things down until he's safely retired to the ranch.
Then, when the peaceniks get in office, and all of our troops are withdrawn from the region, after Hillary and Obama show their weak, dovish nature, then's the time to resume the bomb-making. With plenty of enriched uranium on hand.
Thank you, George Bush, for keeping these terrorists scared for at least 5 years.
Democrats? Not so much.
I've said it before: Ahmadinejad's playing the Democrats, and the media, like a maestro would play a violin.
