I'll admit, I've been a Tolkein fan since reading was young for me. That's been awhile...I've always been a prodigious reader, and I've lamented movies that...don't exactly seem correct, or true to the author's last crossed "t".
Peter Jackson did a fine job with his epic, but still, I was missing a few details. I guess if I had had $330 M I could have done a better job, but I don't, so he gets the kudos he deserves.
This is a lark. Not only does this provide an alternative ending to the movie, but an alternative to the three novels Tolkein painstaking created. All in good fun...
