Yes, that Ari Fleischer, the former White House Press Secretary who played a bit part (actually, more than just a bit....Ari testified at the Plame trial that Scooter Libby dropped Plame's name to him, at one point or another. From a blogger's live-not-court-reporter 'transcript'...

"Libby was not typically a "source" for Fleischer.... Talked about Ari's plans for private sector, sports (Dolphins). Talked about briefing.

Libby reiterated point that VP did not send Wilson. Libby said Wilson was sent by his wife who worked in the CIA counter-proliferation division. Her name is Valerie Plame. This (name) was news to him.

"This is hush-hush, on the QT. Not very many people know about this" Thought that it was an odd characterization, thought it meant "newsy."

"Absolutely not." There's very strict protocols for classified material whether they be printed or oral. In regards to the Plame getting Wilson the gig at the at CIA. "My thought was that it was nepotism. That's what I thought I was hearing"

AND he testified under a grant of immunity. Oh, that Plame-Wilson-CIA-covert-CPD crap would make one's head explode. Was Valerie outed by Scooter Libby, or by someone else in the party-hearty crowd she plamed around in? Covert, my arse.

So Ari Fleisher shows up and speaks at a private home to the Republican Jewish Coalition in Nashville yesterday, speaking on the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, and their continued relevance and importance in our foreign affairs...

Speaking in Nashville on Tuesday, former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer advocated the policy of “peace through strength,” saying the use of preemptive strikes like the one in Iraq can ultimately help spread peace.

That's a key policy point that's hallmark to President George Bush. A thing he and our current Administration understands, much to the chagrin of leftists. Ari...

“By removing Saddam and his sons from power, as tough as this conflict has been, we have avoided greater conflict, just as Winston Churchill advised in 1938,” Fleischer said.

If Saddam Hussein was still in power in Iraq, Fleischer said America and Israel would be facing a “nuclear future with a looming war on the horizon” with Iran seeking nuclear weapons, Syria “apparently” wanting to go nuclear and “think about what Saddam Hussein and his sons are doing today if left unchecked.”

“Instead, on George Bush’s watch, Iraq will never have nuclear weapons, Libya has given up its nuclear weapons, and now Syria may have been stopped from acquiring,” Fleischer said.

“The world is a safer place because America and Israel acted.”

Try telling that to the weakening links on the left. Anything other than complete withdrawal and total capitulation, the surrender monkey option, will cause much grief from our progressive liberal Democrats.

Elect a Democrat, have a weaker nation. That's a given. A Common Knowledge...as much as Valerie Plame's 'status' was common knowledge to a gaggle of folks.
