Jerry Falwell wasn't even cold, and the Internet was awash in celebration.

I purposely avoid the nutroot Liberal sites (Kos, Huffington), but I will read ReasonOnline, a libertarian hangout, when it's linked by my favorite writer. Jeff Goldstein had essayed on Cathy Young's essay, another comparison of Libertarians and Conservatives, with the same old tired conclusion 'Conservatives are well-meaning, but essentially lack the Libertarian's Freedom First, forget any form of Governmental Control' meme. From Cathy's essay:
For some political libertarians, the centralized government is so unquestionably the greatest enemy that they not only oppose civil rights laws banning private race and gender discrimination but reject the post-Civil War constitutional doctrine that state governments must abide by the Bill of Rights.
And, of course, Conservatives would use some form of political laws or pressure (although not near as much as our lovely Liberal Progressives would use) to further an agenda. Jeff writes
In short, the problem with libertarianism is that in its effort to appear non-judgmental (and champion individual rights), it is, in fact, passing judgment on those who use market forces and persuasion to argue their positions—and in so doing, often aligns itself with cultural progressives, who use coercion to a far greater degree, in my opinion, to enforce their virtues.
Indeed, LibProgs will use any kind of blunt tool they can get their grimy fingers on; including judicial activism (by way of re-examining the Constitution for any line that could be used to promote their agendas); they do lie, cheat, and steal to get into any political office (by 're-inventing' themselves to voters before elections...Hillary Clinton magically becomes 'centrist' for awhile); they will take money from lobbyists (well, all politicians could do that, but remember Harold Ford's arrest and the LibProg outcry, then the audacity of installing his Sister in his Seat, by way of the VotingDead?); at the street level, individuals who carry the ProgLib banner (under the Liberal Umbrella) take to the streets and burn flags to protest America.

Just look around...you'll see what 'good' they've done for our society. Instead of building up and on the foundations of our country's values, it seems LibProgs seek to undermine and weaken those same foundations.

And, reading their rants on Falwell before he's even interred, ProgLibs lack any evidence of class. Animals, those. But those sentiments aren't limited to Democrats...

After reading Cathy's essay, I found a link to a ReasonBlog entry on Jerry Falwell's death. After reading some comments there, I thought I had stumbled into Kosland...
"atleast he wasn't found unconcious with a ball gag in his mouth, a schlong in his behind and a young boy in his bed, like other religious leaders..."

"I appreciate people trying to be decent when someone dies and everything, but seriously, F(CK THAT SH)T. Falwell was a disgusting person. I don't have time to start googling every awful thing he said, but we all know he said a lot of nasty, intolerant shit. I wouldn't shed a tear for any other religious maniac, why should I care about him?

Too bad the god he believes in doesn't exist, so he could enjoy some quality time in Hell.

Larry Flynt will soon be dancing on his gra-oh yeah."
These, mind you, from 'Libertarians' who value 'free speech' without any control. I'll say.

If these guys on Reason are so sweet (!) you can imagine what the Gay and Gay-supporting Liberals were saying. I won't bother looking for their stuff.

These ‘hateful’ liberal (and libertarian) commenters express all-too-typical examples of liberal’s memes; full of hate and criticism themselves, but refusing to recognize legimitate critisism of their own sacred cows (well, I guess sacred would be far, far from correct terminology), prefering instead to conveniently label such critisisms ‘hatred’ or ‘judgemental’. That gives the liberals a warm, cozy security blanket with which to hide behind and, shielded, throw their own barbs. So, anything Jerry Falwell said could be covered up by their 'Hateful' or 'Judgemental' label, and so dismissed.

Best to have such a label to use on critics, rather than face the truth?

Use of these dismissive labels ignores the good things that Falwell did for this nation. How many people today wouldn’t even be alive if Falwell hadn't spent his life striving to curb abortion? How many lives did he save, directly or indirectly? As for ProgLibs (who value abortions, as sacrement, how many abortions have they directly paid for, or encouraged, with their votes?

So, LibProgs, not only do you have blood on your hands, and hate in your hearts, but you label as haters those who criticise you. Nice. For your sakes, death had better be just blackness, and nothing on the other side except an eternity of nothing. That's fine, if that's the case. You'll have to stay awake a few nights, and wonder.

Hmmmph. Me, glad I’m not like you…
