Just ahead of the Troop Surge, bad boyz are making themselves scarce...

WASHINGTON Death squad leaders have fled Baghdad to evade capture or killing by U.S. and Iraqi forces before the start of the troop "surge" and security crackdown in the capital.

A former senior Iraqi minister said most of the leaders loyal to Muqtada al-Sadr, the radical anti-American cleric, had gone into hiding in Iran.

In itself, a justification for the troop surge. Once those neighborhoods are cleared, this time, they will stay cleared. This isn't the first bit of positive information of the effect of Bush's Troop Surge policy, either...just ahead of the U.S. Senate's Criticism Spectacle Debate scheduled for this week. With Bush facing heavy criticism at home over the surge, death squad leaders have every incentive to wait out what could be the president’s last-ditch effort to pacify Baghdad. Zalmay Khalilzad, the outgoing US ambassador to Baghdad, said last week he was concerned that militants were “lying low, avoiding conflict now in order to fight another day”.

Imagine that, the opposition is using and playing the American sentiments against the war, using our own internal methods of dissecting and dissenting to distress the war effort, while tweaking their own already henious methods of suicide bombings and guerrilla insurgencies to work the American people into House Divided, weakened, and ready to run.

Lead by Resurgent Retreatist Jane Fonda, thousands marched on Washington this weekend to support al-Sadr protest the US's involvement in the Middle East.

Hey, they can do what ever they want to do, and can pile up into stacks of cordwood in protest, but the fact that they can protest doesn't make them right on this issue; IMHO it plays directly into the hands of the enemy.

But Jane Fonda has a lot of experience doing that, now doesn't she?
