UPDATE 11/27/06 9:00 PM

Nashville's fanbase has shaken away some of the lethargy that seemingly perpetual losing brought on...again we are hearing a lot of of positive watercooler talk. Maybe we don't have to fire Jeff Fisher, or consider watching (gasp) Ice Hockey. There's football talk in the town.

There are, however, certain disgruntled New York Giants (who would've thunk that the players could be bigger jerks than the fans?from the pouting lips of Brandon Jacobs, NYG RB...
"It hurts, man," ... "Any loss hurts, but this particular one to a team we should have beat the shit out of — this one hurts more."
uh, why, Brandon, we might ask?

"Because they suck," he said. "That's why."

No worse than the collective performance of the Giants. Just ask anyone in New York...
"Every awful, dreadful loss; every head-shaking, stomach-turning collapse. Every choke and embarrassment and mind-numbing defeat no one ever saw coming that suddenly rose up and sucked the life out of an entire franchise."

"We basically gave it away at the end with the interception," Barber said. "The only thing you don't want to do is turn the ball over and that's unfortunately what we did."

A stunned quiet filled the Giants locker room. Coughlin admitted: "I don't have the words to talk about it right now." No one else had much to say, either.

"What can you say?" wondered O'Hara. "It's indescribable. I don't fault anybody for being at a loss for words. It's sick, it really is. It makes you feel sick."

Well, from this I gather that Brandon Jacobs was simply projecting. He probably will realize that the Titans don't suck nearly as much as the Giants did. But Eli Manning should watch his back for a while, New York fans and media aren't nearly as forgiving as Nasvhille's.

Meanwhile, in Nashville, celebration continues...the Bellsouth tower get a makeover!

Jeff Fisher is Walking Tall again.

I was searching my pics for something with Brandon Jacobs, but he must have cut out too early. Like, the start of the 4th Quarter. Here's Jason Bell, walking away with the pain of the loss burning in his mind... Watch your step, JB, it will get better...

UPDATE 11/27/06 6:00 A.M.

·Vince Young's performance last night set NFL Rookie records...
"...he supplanted Hall of Famer John Elway from the NFL record book with his 21-point rally. Elway had led the Denver Broncos from a 19-point deficit against Indianapolis on Dec. 11, 1983."

·Houston fans are pretty worked up again; it seems that they couldn't handle their New York assignment...Just a little side bet here, Bud Adams has had his biggest thrill of recent memory, watching the meltdown in Houston as Vince Young proves his draft worth.

·In New York, there is also a little knashing of teeth...
“It’s a terrible shock to everybody in the organization,” Coach Tom Coughlin said. “For everybody.”

Usually from Tom, that kind of comment means someone is gonna spend time squirming in his office (be there five minutes early, remember).

Uh oh, yer honor, this is where we started blogging the last home game, with the 2-minute warning scoreboard...

But this time, the Titans pull out a win...the best home game I've seen this year, with 24 unanswered points in the 4th Quarter.

After that 2-minute pause, we had Vince Young running...

And Vince Young passing...

And, with 44 seconds left on the clock, the game was tied! Those of us who didn't leave after the 3rd quarter (with the score 21-0, the exits were popular places to be) were treated to Titans Football, circa 1999-2001. What a needed shot in the arm for this team!

At the last home game, Bironas' kick to win was blocked...this one wasn't blocked, as you can see...

Or can you? I've circled the ball in this shot.. (note I did not try to caption this photo!)

That would end the game on a happy note.

But first, here's a few shots I got before the game started.

Jeff Fisher informs Pacman of the new 'incentive program' he's developed just for him...

The Color Guard positions for the anthem...

My obligatory shot of the flyover...(those F-16's don't slow down for anybody!)

After the game, the Giants exited the field...

More pics of the Giants exiting the field...

Again, there is much beauty in seeing the Giants exit the field...

Nashville's night views from the stadium...

....and from the Pedestrian bridge.

I've thrown this post together in record time; I may modify it later, if needed.
Goodnight.
